Or could it be a problem with the emulation software itself? Do I need to tinker with specific software settings or download a different PC-98/HDI emulator that can run this game? I honestly don't know what to do. Either the game takes an eternity to boot up, or there's still something I'm not doing right.

However, about 10 minutes have has passed, and the emulator's screen was pitch black the entire time. After I had that set up, I clicked "Start", and this time it didn't say there was no disc, so it must've detected something. The 2nd time I'm pretty sure I did it right, as I clicked the "." button next to "HDD1", loaded the game's HDI file, and created a new file with a different name but same software. When I first opened it up, first it said there was no disc, because I didn't load the game's software file correctly. Then I downloaded the Anex86 HDI emulator software required to run it.

I've tried playing with the DIP switches here and there, but nothing has been helpful so far. The only problem is now that in any of the screens with animations I get this garble on the screen: Then increased the RAM, and boom, it ran. So I've tried increasing the CPU "cycles" in Anex86 - no go I get the same thing out of Anex86 as well, so that would suggest a configuration issue.įrom what I gather with my limited japanese, the CPU might be too slow, there's also a buffer error that shows up. Same thing happens when trying to run the autoexec.bat in the root of the HDD: If I run either fm.bat or flixmix.exe, it kicks me back to prompt, and it hangs there with me unable to type anything, unless I reset: If I try to run it with the former, depending on which CPU I've selected, it can either run until I get that buffer error, or it gives me a prompt: Tried both in np2fmgen and in Anex86 with various configurations, but I'm unable to make it work properly at all. So I've tried to run this game (got the translated version from here: )
